Bob Mauldin is probably best known as a radio DJ, hosting shows on 104.1 The Ranch, 101.5 KNUE and True Country 1510
AM. Even before Bob made a name for himself in radio, he was writing songs. Some of Bob's earliest songs have proven to
be the most successful. In 1994 a song about a cowboy who fights crime was nothing more than just a demo. In 2001, Texas
Rose Records heard "Cowboy Super Hero". They took Bob into the studio to record the song and released it internationally.
In Denmark, the song was played regularly, and still shows up on playlists to this day! In 1997, Bob wrote the song "Baby"
about a girl he knew. Little did he know that in 2002, that song would be played on the radio and would become a favorite at
live shows.

Bob continued to write and record great songs. In 2007, Bob released the single "Redneck Rebel" due to the response it
received at live shows. The song was played on Texas Country stations all over the state. The song was intended to be
the first single from an album entitled "Van Zandt County Line". That album was recorded and ready to be mixed, but
suddenly in 2008, Bob scrapped the album and cancelled all but a few concert dates. Those dates that had been advertised
were fulfilled, but everything else was off the table. For over a year, music was an afterthought - an
anecdote from a past life.

In September 2009, Bob was brought back to 104.1 The Ranch. Immediately, fans of the station started
asking about Bob's band. Bob received - and turned down - several opportunities to reunite his band.
Now the question remains - will The Bob Mauldin Band return? Will there be more songs? Or is it all
a thing of the past? Bob has started to accept limited one-night bookings. Catch one when you can.
They may be a rare chance to hear some popular songs by the guy who wrote them.
